How to play a G#7 chord on piano

The notes required to play a chord of G#7 on piano are as follows:

  • G#
  • C
  • D#
  • F#

For the standard root position in your right hand, start by placing your thumb on G#. Put your second finger on the C, and stretch your third up to the D#. Finally, use either your fourth or fifth (pinky) finger – whichever is most comfortable – to play the remaining note, F#.
